About The Bush Company

Built Stronger. Built for Adventure. Built for Life.

For over 20 years, The Bush Company has been embracing the wild and pushing the limits of adventure. Founded by Dean Gurney, a South African native with an unrelenting passion for exploring remote and rugged terrains, the company creates gear that is as reliable as it is rugged. The brand's products are the result of years of manufacturing expertise and firsthand experience traveling the globe.

The Bush Company's ethos is "Built Stronger. Built for Adventure. Built for Life". Their gear is predominantly sourced and manufactured in South Africa, using premium materials to withstand the toughest conditions on earth, from the deserts of Australia to the wilderness of Africa. The brand is globally recognized for creating innovative, high-quality products that provide a practical and uncompromising solution for your journey.

Built for Durability

Every product is crafted using premium materials, predominantly sourced and manufactured in South Africa. The Bush Company's rooftop tents feature a fully seam-welded lightweight alloy frame and a proprietary B-Tech™ Alloy for exceptional strength. The heavy-duty rip-stop canvas is waterproof and UV-resistant, designed to perform in all weather conditions, from heavy snow to harsh sun.

Engineered for Functionality

The Bush Company's products offer seamless solutions for your adventures. Their rooftop tents, like the DX27, can be set up in under 90 seconds, even with bedding left inside. The tents also include integrated power systems with USB ports and a rechargeable LED light. Their awnings, with a unique truss-style design, are fully freestanding, providing maximum coverage and eliminating the need for poles in even strong winds.

Designed for Versatility

The Bush Company’s range of rooftop tents and awnings are designed to address the challenges of long-term overlanding. Their hard-shell tents have a reinforced roof that can carry up to 440 lbs when closed, allowing you to mount gear like solar panels or load bars. The proprietary Ezi-slot™ system on the sides of the tents and awnings allows you to easily attach accessories, providing a modular and customizable setup for your rig.

The Bush Company Hard Shell Rooftop Tents

Made in South Africa. Built for durability

The Bush Company's hard shell rooftop tents are built to conquer, delivering a perfect blend of style, quality, and strength for the most demanding adventurers. Designed and manufactured in South Africa, these tents feature a fully seam-welded lightweight alloy frame and a proprietary B-Tech™ Alloy for exceptional durability. The double-layered, rip-stop canvas is built to perform in all seasons, while high-profile automotive rubber weather seals prevent dust and water ingress.

Experience unmatched comfort and convenience with a tent that sets up in under 90 seconds, even with bedding stored inside. A thick, 80mm dual-density foam mattress provides a great night's sleep, and multiple windows offer panoramic views and excellent ventilation. Each tent also includes an integrated electrical package with a tri-color rechargeable LED light and dual USB/CIG sockets, so you can stay powered up off-grid. The reinforced roof can carry up to 165 lbs when closed, and the Ezi-Slots on the sides allow for easy mounting of accessories like awnings or light bars. See for yourself the premium quality and innovative design of a Bush Company hard shell rooftop tent.
