These window units only take 350-500 watts to run and operate directly from your 24-volt battery. The most cost-effective setup is wiring two car batteries in series for 24V operation. For a complete off-grid solution, you can choose a package with battery, solar panel, or charge controller for a fully self-contained system.

About the Units

These 6,000 - 9,000 BTU/h window-unit heat pumps provide both cooling and heating. They’re:

• 5 times more efficient than electric heaters
• At least twice as efficient as 110V window AC units
• Effectively 3 times more efficient in an off-grid 24V system without an inverter

All internal parts are DC-native—this is "how it's done" if you're serious about the most efficient, reliable off-grid heat pump solution.
